Swim Attire

All children must wear proper swimming outfits that are designed for swimming. Young children who are not trained to use the restroom must wear at least one swim diaper under their bathing suit. Children with long hair must wear a hair tie or swim cap so that their hair will not obscure their vision. During the cooler months, a long-sleeve wet suit may be recommended but not required for younger children.

Attendance

Swim Express LLC asks that you make every effort to attend lessons consistently for the success of your child’s swimming progress.

Instructor Cancellations

The instructor will notify the parent, using the contact information in the client’s profile, approximately 30 minutes prior to the lesson in the case of a cancellation. If the instructor cancels a lesson (inclement weather, for example), the session pass for that Swim Together Group, Swim Class or Private Lesson will remain available for a future lesson.

In the event that there is only one swimmer scheduled for a Swim Together Group or a Swim Class, the lesson will be cancelled. If preferred, the swimmer may upgrade to a private lesson.

All remaining session passes must be used by January 1, 2020. Unused session passes will be relinquished after January 1, 2020. No refunds will be issued for cancelled sessions.

Swimmer Cancellations

If the swimmer is going to miss a scheduled swim lesson, please cancel the appointment via the client portal at least 72 hours prior; otherwise, the session pass for that lesson will be forfeited.

If the swimmer becomes ill, please send a copy of a doctor’s note to the Swim Express Office (office@swimexpressfl.com) for consideration of an approved medical absence in the event of a late cancellation (fewer than 72 hours in advance). Upon approval, one make-up session equivalent to the cancelled lesson will be provided. All remaining session passes must be used by January 1, 2020.* Unused session passes will be relinquished after January 1, 2020. No refunds will be issued for cancelled sessions.

Please note that Season Pass holders (a purchase of 10 or more lessons) will receive one make up session for the duration of the Season Pass in the case of a late cancellation. All remaining session passes must be used by January 1, 2020. Unused session passes will be relinquished after January 1, 2020. No refunds will be issued for cancelled sessions.

If Swim Express does not receive any notice of a cancellation (late or otherwise) and the swimmer does not show up for the session, the session will be forfeited.

Drowning Prevention Track Cancellations

If you have scheduled the Drowning Prevention Six Day Track and your child is unable to complete the scheduled sessions for the program, you must reschedule your remaining sessions within 30 days of the most recent cancellation. If your child does not complete the rescheduled sessions and/or has not rescheduled within 30 days of the most recent cancellation, you will forfeit the guarantee for this program outlined on the Swim Express Website (www.swimexpressfl.com).

If the Six Day Track is not completed as outlined above, any remaining session passes (total of 6 sessions) will be transferred to regular private lesson passes equivalent to the number of remaining sessions. These session passes must be used by January 1, 2020. Unused session passes will be relinquished after January 1, 2020. No refunds or credits will be issued for cancelled sessions.

Pool Temperature

To ensure you or your child’s health and comfort, the pool’s temperature should be 85 degrees Fahrenheit or warmer in the cooler months. Please keep track of the pool’s temperature—in the event of an outside temperature below 70 degrees coupled with a pool temperature below 85 degrees, send a written notification to the Swim Express Office (office@swimexpressfl.com) at least 24 hours prior to the lesson; otherwise, the lesson will be forfeited.

Payment

Payments are due upon approval of the schedule request or enrollment into swim classes. If you are paying with cash or check, please notify the Swim Express office (office@swimexpressfl.com) prior to the approval of the schedule request or enrollment into a swim class. Cash or check payments given in person are due on the day of the first lesson. Please make checks payable to “Swim Express LLC” and place in an envelope with the swimmer’s name.
